About Bare:
At Bare, we're focused on bringing end-of-life planning into the digital age and, along the way, making a real impact on people at a time in their lives that really matters.
Since launching in 2019 we've grown exponentially. Bare started out as a direct-to-consumer funeral home offering a digitally enabled, low-cost funeral service. We've since expanded to become Australia's leading provider of prepaid funerals, online wills, online estate planning, and pet funerals. Our vision is to become the end-of-life CRM, supporting individuals and families to deal with a difficult topic in an empathic, affordable, and sustainable way.
The exciting part? The journey has only just started. We are backed by some of Australia's highest profile investors, are currently one of the fastest growing companies in Australia, and we're committed to making a difference. Join us on the ground and be intimately involved in the creation and development of a product and service that is category-leading.
The Role:
We’re looking for a Training, Learning & Automation Specialist to design, build and scale our internal learning ecosystem while embedding automation and AI-driven efficiency across training, onboarding and operational workflows.
This is not a traditional L&D role. You’ll sit at the intersection of people, systems, and technology — creating structured learning programs while automating repetitive processes to support a fast-growing, multi-functional team.
You’ll work closely with Operations, Customer Care, Sales, Finance and Leadership to ensure our team is highly trained, efficient, and continuously improving.
Key Responsibilities:
Learning & Development:
-Design and deliver structured onboarding programs across departments (Funeral Arrangers, Sales, Operations, Finance).
-Build scalable e-learning modules, SOP documentation and knowledge libraries.
-Create competency frameworks and capability pathways.
-Facilitate live and virtual training sessions.
-Develop assessment tools to measure skill acquisition and performance uplift.
-Maintain compliance training relevant to Australian funeral and regulatory requirements.
Systems & Automation:
-Identify repetitive manual processes and design automated workflows.
-Implement automation tools (CRM automations, LMS workflows, AI-based support tools).
-Integrate training content into internal systems for seamless adoption.
-Build dashboards to track learning progress, productivity and operational KPIs.
-Collaborate with tech and operations teams to improve internal tooling.
Continuous Improvement:
-Analyse performance data to identify skill gaps.
-Translate operational bottlenecks into structured learning solutions.
-Implement feedback loops to refine training programs.
-Support change management during process or system upgrades.
What Success Looks Like:
-New hires reach full productivity faster.
-Training is systemised, documented and easily scalable.
-Manual tasks are reduced through automation.
-Teams demonstrate measurable performance improvement.
-Leadership has visibility on capability metrics.
About You:
-3+ years in Learning & Development, Enablement, Operations Improvement or similar.
-Experience implementing automation tools (e.g., Zapier, HubSpot workflows, Notion, LMS platforms, AI tools).
-Strong systems thinker who enjoys process optimisation.
-Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
-Analytical and data-driven in decision making.
-Proactive, solution-oriented and commercially aware.
-Experience in xero, google sheet and CRM (Hubspot) and integrations between systems
Bonus Experience:
-Experience in high-growth startups.
-Experience in regulated industries.
-Familiarity with CRM systems and workflow automation.
-Exposure to AI tools for training and operational efficiency.
