JOB OVERVIEW

We're looking for a highly skilled, marketing-minded video editor to join our E-Commerce brand part-time.

You will be responsible for editing short-form Facebook and Instagram ad creatives that drive real sales results, so you need to think like a marketer, not just an editor.

If you're someone who obsesses over hooks, understands why some videos stop the scroll and others don't, and can execute fast without sacrificing quality, this might be the position for you.

Responsibilities:

- Edit raw UGC and branded footage into high-converting short-form video ads for Facebook and Instagram
- Apply brand-consistent editing style across all creatives while adapting to different ad angles and formats
- Follow detailed creative briefs precisely and execute them without needing multiple revision rounds
- Stay up to date on what is currently performing in the DTC and skincare/beauty space
- Deliver edits on tight timelines, including same-day turnaround when necessary

Requirements:

- Highly experienced in CapCut and/or Adobe Premiere Pro (please specify which in your application)
- Strong understanding of paid ads content, specifically how to optimize performance metrics (hook rate, hold rate, pacing, CTR)
- Fluent in English with excellent written communication skills
- Experience editing for eCommerce or DTC brands is strongly preferred
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions with autonomous ability
- Available on a consistent daily basis and responsive during working hours

Compensation and Growth:

- Pay-per-video model with highly competitive hourly rates
- Based on recent months, our part-time editors are compensated $500+ USD/month and growing rapidly
- High performers are fast-tracked into salary raises, promotion to a full-time role, and long-term growth opportunity

How to Apply:

To be considered, your application MUST include all of the following:

1) Your resume or CV highlighting relevant experience in video editing, eCommerce, marketing, or advertising
2) A portfolio of past video editing work, specifically ad creatives or short-form content (links preferred)
3) Written answers to all five applicant questions below

Applications missing any of these three items will be automatically denied.

Applicant Questions:

1) How experienced are you in editing with Capcut/Premiere Pro? What E-Commerce brands have you previously worked with before (if any)?

2) Do you have any viral and/or successful videos you've directly contributed to editing-wise? If so, can you provide proof of metrics & the video?

3) What separates a video ad that stops the scroll from one that gets skipped in the first 2 seconds? Give us a specific example from your own work or from an ad you've studied closely.

4) What's your typical turnaround time from when you first receive a project?
