JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role:
I am a retired veterinarian with 33 years of experience and a strong background in building veterinary practices around customer experience and owner lifestyle design. I am launching a paid newsletter and book aimed at veterinary practice owners, and I need a reliable, proactive right-hand person to help me build this from the ground up.

This is a long-term part-time position, starting at 5–10 hours per week with the potential to grow.

What You'll Be Doing:
• Managing a simple content calendar and keeping projects on schedule
• Taking my voice notes, rough drafts, and ideas and formatting them into clean, polished written content
• Keeping me accountable to deadlines and proactively following up when things need to move forward
• Researching topics when needed to support newsletter and book content
• Handling basic admin tasks related to the newsletter platform (Substack)
• Communicating clearly and consistently — I need someone who will flag problems early, not wait to be asked

What I'm Looking For:
• Strong written English — you will be cleaning up and formatting my words, so this is non-negotiable
• Project management mindset — you take ownership, you follow through, and you follow up
• Someone who is proactive, not reactive. If a deadline is approaching and I haven't sent you material, I want you to reach out and ask
• Experience with content creation, newsletters, or working with authors or entrepreneurs is a strong plus
• Familiarity with Substack, Google Docs, and basic scheduling tools preferred
• Veterinary or healthcare background is not required — your job is to manage and format, not to create the expertise

What This Is Not:
• This is not a one-time project
• This is not a ghostwriting position — I provide the ideas and voice, you help shape and organize them
• This is not a position for someone who needs constant direction

Compensation:
$6–$10 per hour depending on experience, paid weekly or biweekly. Starting at approximately 5–10 hours per week.

To Apply:
Please send a short message telling me about a project you managed or supported from start to finish — what your role was, what the challenges were, and what the outcome was. Also include any experience working with entrepreneurs, authors, or content creators. Applications without this will not be considered.
