Senior Accountant

ABOUT THE JOB:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and processing all accounting transactions in a timely and accurate manner and researching issues within the POS system and correcting the financial entries to ensure accurate reporting

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Month end close for assigned stores including bank reconciliations, AR tie out, inventory reconciliations, Fixed Assets, Prepaids, AP, Accruals, Revenue and Expense account reviews
Daily cash/bank reconciliation, POS end of day report reconciliation to GL, cash receipts reconciliation daily to GL
Meet deadlines for month end close activities
Communicate with stores and management to ensure accurate financial statements.
Reconcile GL accounts to ensure entries are accurate and coded correctly
Analysis and commentary monthly on P&L and Balance Sheet to ensure accuracy
Other special projects, as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
MINIMUM 3 years Sr Accountant experience in a US BASED COMPANY
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA a plus
Strong understanding of US GAAP
Proactive approach to month end close
Must have reliable internet connection and dual monitors
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Advanced experience with GL account reconciliations
Proven experience preparing financial statements
Proven proficiency using Sage Intacct
