Role Overview
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Technical Lead Consultant to support, enhance, and manage complex AX 2012 environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on technical expertise, strong integration experience across multiple business modules, and the ability to lead technical teams and projects in an on-premise setup. This role is critical in ensuring system stability, integrations, and ongoing technical support for business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 technical development and maintenance activities
Participate in requirements gathering and translate business needs into technical solutions
Design, develop, and maintain AX 2012 customizations, enhancements, and integrations
Manage and support integrations across key AX modules including Finance, Logistics, Manufacturing, Service, and Sales
Implement and support carrier integrations, bank integrations, e-Invoicing, and ECM/SharePoint integrations
Provide technical leadership and guidance to developers and support teams
Perform and oversee AX 2012 infrastructure and system administration tasks
Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system stability and performance
Coordinate with functional consultants, business users, and IT teams
Create and maintain technical documentation and system configuration records
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
8–10+ years of hands-on technical experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012
Dynamics AX 2012 Technical Expertise
Strong experience in designing and delivering technical solutions based on business and functional requirements
Proven track record in developing, customizing, and supporting AX 2012 solutions
Deep experience with AX 2012 integrations across key business areas, including:
Finance, Logistics (including carrier integrations), Manufacturing, Sales and Service
Bank integrations and e-Invoicing
ECM / SharePoint and other external systems
Infrastructure & On-Premise Environment
Extensive experience working in on-premise AX 2012 environments
Hands-on experience with system administration and technical operations, including:
AOS service monitoring and management
Environment troubleshooting and maintenance
Printer and peripheral configuration
Leadership & Collaboration
Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and projects
Strong collaboration skills when working with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and IT teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
