JOB OVERVIEW

We’re hiring a fast, organized real-estate bookkeeper for our organization.

Compensation: USD $14/hour
Location: 100% remote (work from home)
Company: Atlas Residential (USA, East Coast)

We need our books done once a month. In addition, there are customary internal reports that need updating monthly (like commission tracking, total equity per deal, etc). Often we reach out outside of the regular monthly cycle and ask to create custom reports or answer specific questions.

We’re a profitable real estate acquisitions firm focused on off-market single-family and land deals (“Real Estate Wholesaling”) as well as land acquisition and development. Our financial systems are clean, organized, and fast — and we need a bookkeeper who understands real estate transactions and can keep our books accurate and up to date.

Role snapshot
This is a hands-on bookkeeping role with a real estate investment focus. You’ll manage QuickBooks Online, prepare monthly reporting, keep a few key spreadsheets updated, and support off-cycle financial requests. You’ll also onboard with our current bookkeeper to ensure a smooth, disruption-free transition.

What you’ll do
• Maintain and update QuickBooks Online monthly (we have an Online QB account to which will be granted book-keeper access)
• Categorize income and expenses correctly
• Reconcile accounts + prepare monthly financial and KPI reports
• Update Excel/Google Sheets reports
• Assist with off-cycle reporting needs
• Communicate quickly and clearly when questions arise
• Review prior-year books with our current bookkeeper during transition
• Organize receipts, transactions, and property-specific entries
• Handle wholesale, fix & flip, novations, and other RE transaction types accurately
• Prepare end-of-year financials to our accountant for tax reporting

Who you are:
• 2+ years bookkeeping experience in real estate (wholesale, fix & flip, or renovations)
• Strong QuickBooks Online experience
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
• Understanding of assignment fees, double closes, rehab expenses, JV splits, transaction costs
• Detail-oriented, organized, and consistent with deadlines
• Excellent English communication
• Highly responsive — we don’t wait days for replies
