JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title: Video Editor – Health & Wellness Brands (US-Based Companies)
Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hrs/week preferred, 30 hrs minimum)
Rate: Negotiable based on experience
Schedule: Must have overlap with US Eastern Time (8am–12pm ET minimum)

About Us
We are a US-based franchise company operating three growing health and wellness brands:

ISI® Elite Training — a group fitness franchise with 60+ locations nationwide focused on high-intensity interval training and community-driven coaching | ----------

The Plunge House® — a premium cold plunge and wellness recovery brand expanding through franchising | ----------

Human Nutrition — a performance nutrition brand built for real people pursuing health and wellness goals I humannutrition.shop

We are building a world-class content operation to support brand growth, franchise development, and community engagement across all three brands. This is not a one-off freelance gig — we are building a long-term team and want someone who wants to grow with us.

The Role
We need a video editor who can handle everything from high-energy Reels and TikToks to polished talking head interviews, YouTube long-form, and motion graphics — and who understands that great editing is what separates content that gets scrolled past from content that stops people cold.

You will work directly with our content and marketing team to turn raw footage, B-roll, and creative briefs into finished assets that are on-brand, platform-optimized, and ready to publish. You will own the editing queue across three brands, manage your own workflow, and deliver without being chased.

This is a high-output, fast-paced role. We produce content consistently and need someone who can match that pace without sacrificing quality.

What You'll Own

Short-form video — Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts (15–90 seconds), optimized for each platform's native format and algorithm

Talking head content — clean, engaging edits of founder, coach, and expert interviews with captions, B-roll, and branded lower thirds

YouTube long-form — structured edits with intro hooks, chapter flow, B-roll integration, and retention-focused pacing

Motion graphics — animated titles, transitions, lower thirds, logo animations, and branded intro/outro sequences

Ad creative — performance-focused video ads for Meta, YouTube, and TikTok with strong hooks in the first 3 seconds

Podcast and interview clips — repurposing long-form content into short-form highlight clips across platforms

Story and vertical content — full-screen 9:16 edits for Instagram and TikTok Stories

Branded templates — building reusable editing templates for recurring content formats across all three brands

Caption and subtitle integration — accurate, styled captions for all short and long-form content

Sound design — music selection, audio cleanup, and sound effects that enhance the final product without overpowering it

Thumbnail coordination — working with our graphic designer to align video and thumbnail creative

What We're Looking For

* 3+ years of professional video editing experience
* Strong portfolio — fitness, wellness, lifestyle, nutrition, or consumer brands strongly preferred
* Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects — this is non-negotiable
* Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut is a plus
* Deep understanding of short-form content — what makes a hook work, how to hold attention, how to edit for platform behavior
* Motion graphics capability — you can animate, not just cut
* Strong audio instincts — music selection, pacing, and audio cleanup
* Understanding of aspect ratio optimization across platforms (9:16, 1:1, 16:9)
* Experience with caption styling and subtitle tools (Descript, Captions, or manual)
* Able to take a rough brief or raw footage and deliver a finished, publish-ready asset
* Organized file management — you label, sort, and store assets in a way that makes sense to everyone
* Comfortable joining video calls via Zoom or Google Meet for creative reviews and briefings
* Excellent English comprehension — written and spoken
* Self-managed, deadline-driven, and proactive about communicating timeline or feedback issues

Process & Queue Management
We run a fast content calendar across three brands. We need someone with a real workflow system — not someone who works reactively. As part of your application, tell us:

How do you manage an active editing queue when multiple projects are running simultaneously?

What tools do you use to track projects, versions, and feedback? ( ---------- , Notion, Trello, Asana, etc.)

How do you handle unclear briefs or missing assets — do you wait or do you problem-solve?

What does your typical turnaround look like for a 60-second Reel vs. a 10-minute YouTube video?

How do you stay current on platform trends and what's performing in short-form content?

There is no right answer — we want to see that you think like a professional, not a freelancer.

Commitment Requirement
This is a primary role, not a side project. Before applying, confirm the following:

1. This will be your main professional commitment and top priority
2. You are not at capacity with other clients that would compete for your time and attention
3. You are available during agreed-upon hours and can join video calls with reasonable notice
4. You can commit to consistent output and turnaround times week over week

If you cannot confirm the above, please do not apply.

What This Is Not
This is not a passive role where you wait for files to land in your inbox. We expect you to track the queue, flag issues early, ask smart questions, and deliver finished work that is ready to publish — not almost ready. If you need constant creative direction or can't manage your own time, this is not the right fit.

What You'll Get

1. Long-term engagement with a growing multi-brand company
2. Consistent, high-volume work across three distinct and visually interesting brands
3. Direct access to brand leadership — no layers of bureaucracy
4. Room to grow as our content operation scales
A5. team that moves fast, values quality, and rewards ownership

How to Apply
Send the following — incomplete applications will not be reviewed:

1. Portfolio / Reel link (required — must include short-form content examples)
2. 3–5 examples of health, fitness, wellness, or lifestyle video work specifically
3. Examples of motion graphics — animated titles, lower thirds, or full motion sequences
4. At least one talking head edit showing your ability to pace, cut, and enhance interview-style content
5. At least one short-form example (Reel, TikTok, or Short) that you are proud of and why
6. Your workflow description — how you manage your queue, what tools you use, and how you handle a heavy week (5–7 sentences)
7. Confirmation that this role will be your primary professional commitment
8. Your availability and hours of overlap with US Eastern Time
9. Your rate expectation (hourly or monthly)
10. Confirmation that you are comfortable on video calls
