Film Director - Remote Creative Lead + Quality Control

We’re looking for a Film Director / Art Director with strong traditional production knowledge (photo + video) who can help guide creative direction and collaborate with our internal AI image & video development team to improve output quality.

You should understand camera angles, lenses, composition, lighting, blocking, continuity, and storytelling, and be comfortable doing quality checks on AI-generated images/videos—spotting what feels “off” and recommending fixes.

What You’ll Do
- Lead creative direction for photo and video shoots (style, mood, framing, lighting, pacing)
- Build or guide shot lists, storyboards, mood boards, and references

Apply film fundamentals:
- camera angles, camera movement, lens choice, depth of field
- composition, exposure, color, lighting setups (studio + natural)
- continuity, staging/blocking, visual storytelling
- Collaborate with our internal AI image/video development team to:
- translate creative direction into generation requirements
- review outputs and do quality control (QC)
- give actionable feedback (what to fix, why it’s wrong, how to improve)
- Help create and maintain quality standards (style guides, do/don’t examples, checklists)
- Work closely with Production/Operations on timelines, deliverables, and approvals (production manager mindset)

Requirements
- Strong background in film direction or art direction for photo/video
- Solid understanding of production workflows and terminology (pre-pro / prod / post)
- Strong eye for cinematography, lighting, composition, color, continuity, and realism
- Can communicate clearly with creatives + technical teams (give direct, structured feedback)
- Comfortable reviewing lots of content and making consistent QC decisions
- Willing to learn and study new techniques to expand skills

Nice to Have
- Experience with commercial shoots, product video, fashion, lifestyle, or branded content
- Post-production familiarity: Premiere / DaVinci Resolve / After Effects
- Photography tools: Lightroom / Photoshop
- Experience art directing talent/wardrobe/props/sets
- Any experience with AI image/video tools or prompt-based workflows (not required—training is available)
