AI Motion Designer. Short Form SaaS and B2B. Rebuild and Finish Required
Pay
12 to 16 USD per hour. Set based on portfolio and trial output.
Trial
2 weeks. 10 hours per week. Paid.
Long term
If you pass the trial and stay consistent. 20 plus hours per week.
Location and time zone
We are based in New Zealand.
Async first. Weekdays.
One call per week max during NZ business hours.
MoveUp Studio
We make complex B2B clear. SaaS and B2B only. Clean work. High bar.
The job
You run production for our short form motion output.
You take rough bullets and turn them into 3 hook options.
We choose one. Then you build the post end to end.
Great type. Tight pacing. Clean composition. No noise. Every frame intentional.
You work across short form and long form.
Long form is support, not lead. Scene builds, cutdowns, transitions, and polish.
Style bar
Minimal layouts. Strong type. Restrained motion.
Calm design. Clear hierarchy.
Story
Strong hook. Clean structure. No fluff.
You know what to show. What to cut.
You can simplify messy inputs without losing meaning.
What shipping looks like
After the trial, we aim for 3 to 4 posts per week.
Some weeks we push to 5 when posts are lighter and systems are already built.
We agree the target each Monday.
Typical post is 15 to 45 seconds.
Delivered with working files.
You build reusable type, layout, and transition components so output speeds up over time.
Client work
Client work comes first when scheduled.
If you perform, you get more hours and more variety.
Tools
After Effects and Illustrator required.
Clean, organized working files. No missing sources.
Must be able to deliver packaged projects. Collect files. No missing links.
AI rules
AI is a core part of the workflow. We want someone genuinely strong with AI image and video tools. Fast and reliable.
Nothing raw ships. If you start with AI, you rebuild and finish it clean in Adobe.
AI video gen can be used as background plates only.
Anything that must be editable must be rebuilt into layered or vector assets and animated in After Effects.
If AI is used, you send
Source file or project link
Settings and prompts used
Rebuilt layered or vector files
Final After Effects project
Boundaries
No third party brands, UIs, faces, or unlicensed footage unless we approve it first.
If you are unsure about rights. Do not use it. Ask first.
Editing
Must be comfortable trimming and timing video inside After Effects or Premiere.
Can handle simple captions when required.
Work standards
Clean files. Strict naming. Clean versioning.
Naming rule. Client. PostName. v01. YYYYMMDD.
Work log and pay
Hourly. Paid fortnightly.
Each work block includes start time, end time, what shipped, a preview link, and the working files link.
How we work
Async first. Low meetings. Clear feedback.
Quick daily update with a preview link when there is progress.
Most posts are one to two rounds. Extra rounds only if scope changes or we agree first.
Trial pass conditions
Two short form pieces shipped end to end.
At least one includes an AI rebuild.
Files must be complete. No missing sources.
Not a fit
Work feels generic

Messy files or missing sources
Time logs do not match outputs
Needs constant direction
Style drifts into noise
