Preconstruction Engineer

JOB TITLE:

CAD Preconstruction Engineer (Fencing Construction – US Projects)
Remote | Full-Time | Philippines | Pacific Time Required

JOB OVERVIEW

Ornamental Solutions Inc. (California, USA) is seeking a highly skilled CAD Preconstruction Engineer to support our Lead Estimator in preparing shop drawings, submittal packages, and technical documentation for commercial and public works fencing projects.

This is NOT a general VA role.
This is a technical construction drafting position.

We are growing in the U.S. government and commercial construction market and are building a strong remote preconstruction support team.

WORK HOURS (STRICT REQUIREMENT)

Must work during U.S. Pacific Time:

• 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM PT
OR
• 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM PT

Monday–Friday
Full-Time
Over Time Available

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Draft 2D shop drawings in AutoCAD
• Create fence layouts from civil/architectural plans
• Draft gate elevations and embedment details
• Revise drawings based on GC/architect redlines
• Prepare organized submittal packages (PDF format)
• Extract fencing requirements from specification books
• Assist in basic value engineering calculations
• Maintain drawing revision logs
• Organize digital project folders
• (Bonus) Create basic 3D fence and gate visuals for presentations

REQUIRED SKILLS (NON-NEGOTIABLE)

Strong AutoCAD 2D proficiency
Ability to read construction plans and specifications
Understanding of construction math (LF, spacing, quantities)
Strong English communication skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Ability to follow structured processes

STRONG PLUS (NOT REQUIRED)

SketchUp / Revit / AutoCAD 3D
Experience with U.S. construction documentation
Civil / Structural / Architecture background
Bluebeam experience

PRACTICAL TECHNICAL ASSESSMENT REQUIRED

• Assemble a structured submittal package
• Draft a simple fence detail
• (Optional bonus) Create a basic 3D visual
