Hello,
I’m looking for a full-time Graphic Designer to add to our growing team. If you are currently working for several other clients, this is not the position for you.
The key objective of the Graphic Designer is to support the team in creating graphic images from scratch, and revising existing images as required. Graphic images may include (but not limited to) logos, banners, website images, ebook covers, CD/DVD covers, print work, etc.
To get the ball rolling, we’ll only start with small projects before moving onto much larger ones. We also do frequent product launches so you’ll need to be able to create graphics for sales pages/squeeze pages/opt-in pages/landing pages.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Create graphic images, from inception to completion, that match the brand requirements of the clients
• Ability to design website headers, eBook covers, 3D buttons, web graphics, pricing tables, charts, and so on. We will also be needing “infographics” in the future.
• Edit/revise graphic images as required
The Ideal Person for this role:
• Has at least 1 years’ experience creating quality website graphics in Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator(no training will be provided)
• Able to take a written description of what we are looking for and run with it to create unique, eye-popping graphics that grab people’s attention.
• Eager to learn new techniques and specialties
• You must have the correct license to use any of the images you choose to use in the graphics, which must be royalty free unless approved in advance.
• Driven to complete tasks in a timely manner
• A stringent “designer’s eye” for meeting the client’s design expectations
• Ability to patiently go back and forth with clients to ensure the end result exceeds their expectations
• A solid understanding of online marketing strategies and trends
• Not afraid to ask questions if you don’t understand (we expect at least 5 questions for each task)
• Willing to make suggestions about ways to improve the task
• An understanding of retail and local marketing is helpful
• All graphics you create are our copyrighted property and may not be re-used in any format.
Commitment: This is an ongoing, full-time position. Availability on Monday to Friday from 4pm Pacific to 6 pm Pacific is requested for communication about projects. Projects can be completed according to your schedule, as long as deadlines are met. Work during your evening times and weekends is not typically required, nor expected, but may be requested from time to time in order to meet client deadlines.
This is a virtually based position that requires you to have the equipment and capability to work from your own home office. Throughout the day, our team communicates via Skype IM. Familiarity with Skype is essential in this role along with being available to answer queries and provide updates to team members during the hours noted above. (Note: a separate project management tool is used to track the various tasks and we will train you to use it).
Compensation: : Because quality is very important to us, the payment plan will reflect this along with your level of experience. We are looking to find and keep quality people, not get as much as I can for as little as possible. Referral bonuses will be paid for future hires based on your recommendation.
Anticipated start date is April 1 or sooner. You will be asked to successfully complete a 1 week, 40 hour probationary period. You will be paid in advance for this week and thereafter every 2 weeks on Friday via Xoom.
You will be required to submit daily and weekly reports of the work you have completed and the amount of time used. You don’t need to know everything on our list; training will be provided to the right candidate throughout your employment with us. We expect you to ask at least 5 questions for every project.
Successful applicants must undergo a background check and reference checks.
Deadline for Application is Wednesday March 21, 2012
