About the Role
We’re hiring a supply chain / inventory operator whose #1 mission is simple: we never run out of stock. You’ll own inventory planning end-to-end for a fast-moving e-commerce jewelry brand: from forecasting and purchase planning to inbound tracking, warehouse coordination, and reorder systems.
This role is for someone who is obsessive about numbers, timelines, and execution. If you’ve managed SKUs before and can build a clean replenishment system that prevents stockouts without overbuying, you’ll thrive here.
Core Mission
Maintain healthy stock levels across all best-sellers and variants
Build a system that prevents stockouts, reduces overstock, and keeps cashflow efficient
Provide visibility: we should always know what we have, what’s coming, when it lands, and what to reorder next
Responsibilities
Inventory Planning & Replenishment
Build and maintain a reorder system (reorder points + safety stock + lead times per SKU/variant)
Create weekly replenishment plans and make sure POs are issued on time
Track days of cover (DOC) per SKU and prevent “surprise” stockouts
Manage new launches: ensure inventory is ready before marketing pushes
Forecasting & Reporting
Forecast demand using Shopify + historical sales + promo/calendar inputs
Produce weekly reporting:
Top sellers + velocity by variant
Low stock + risk list (what will stock out and when)
Inbound list (what’s ordered, what’s in production, what’s shipping, what’s arrived)
Purchase plan (what to reorder, quantities, and target dates)
Build simple dashboards (Google Sheets/Excel) for clarity and accountability
Purchase Orders & Supplier Coordination
Create and manage POs, confirm production schedules, and follow up aggressively
Track lead times, production updates, and QC checkpoints
Coordinate shipping (air/sea) and ensure documents are correct
Keep vendor performance scorecards (on-time rate, quality issues, communication speed)
Warehouse / 3PL Coordination
Coordinate inbound receiving with the 3PL/warehouse
Ensure accurate receiving, correct SKU labeling, and clean inventory counts
Investigate and resolve discrepancies (missing units, incorrect counts, damage)
Requirements (Must-Have)
Experience managing multiple SKUs/variants and replenishment planning
Strong ownership mentality: you chase updates and close loops fast
Excellent communication and organization (you keep everyone aligned)
Nice-to-Have (Bonus)
Experience with jewelry, fashion accessories, or high-SKU variant products
Experience working with China-based suppliers and international freight
Familiarity with 3PL operations, receiving procedures, cycle counts
What Success Looks Like (KPIs)
Stockout rate near zero on top SKUs
High in-stock % on best sellers (especially core variants)
Accurate inventory counts and clean reconciliation
On-time PO placement and stable lead time tracking
Clear weekly reporting that leadership can act on immediately
