AU Tax Supervisor / Manager

We are an expanding Australian public practice accounting firm with a growing team in the Philippines. We are looking for an Accounting Team Supervisor / Manager with strong experience leading tax accountants who work with Australian clients.

This role exists to support both the team and the Australian managers by keeping work organised, clear, and delivered to the right standard. It is a practical, people?focused leadership role centred on day?to?day management—not corporate, not overly strategic, and not inflated.

Why This Role Exists

Our PH accounting team currently reports directly to an Australian manager. We are transitioning to a structure where a Philippines?based Team Supervisor/Manager provides day?to?day support: answering questions, allocating work, reviewing tasks, and helping tea ---------- mbers improve.

The goal is to create smoother workflows and give the team a leader who understands their working style and can offer timely guidance.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise a team of approximately six staff (growing to around ten)
- Help newer staff understand AU accounting workflows
- Provide coaching and support with day?to?day questions
- Help to allocate work based on capacity
- Ensure work is prepared on time for Australian review
- Ensure checklists and templates are followed

This is a steady, practical leadership role focused on guidance, organisation, and helping the team produce accurate work.

What We’re Looking For

- Minimum 5 years of Australian public practice experience
- Minimum 3 years supervising or managing accounting staff
- Comfortable coaching and giving feedback
- Reliable, organised, and approachable
- Strong written and spoken English for AU communication
- Accounting degree or CPA
- Experience training junior staff
