WordPress Website Specialist (Koala Booking System Experience Preferred)

We are a growing residential cleaning company looking for a reliable, detail-oriented WordPress Website Specialist to help update, optimize, and maintain our website.

Our website is built on WordPress and integrated with a cleaning-business booking platform called BookingKoala for online booking, scheduling, and payments. While prior BookingKoala experience is not required, experience with any online booking or scheduling system is strongly preferred.

We already have a clear, detailed list of website updates and improvements that need to be completed (attached), and we are looking for someone who can confidently handle all items on that list.

This role may begin as a project-based engagement, with the opportunity for ongoing monthly website support if it’s a good fit.

Primary Responsibilities
-You will be responsible for completing all items outlined in the attached task list, including but not limited to:
-Updating and optimizing WordPress pages (content, layout, formatting)
-Working with an integrated booking system (BookingKoala) for forms, links, and booking flow
-Improving website usability and customer booking experience
-Fixing broken links, formatting issues, and layout inconsistencies
-Updating service pages, pricing details, FAQs, and calls-to-action
-Ensuring the website is mobile-friendly and loads properly
-Applying basic on-page SEO best practices (headings, structure, readability)
-Testing all booking-related functionality after updates are completed

You should be comfortable learning a new platform if needed, following instructions, and communicating clearly throughout the project.

Required Skills & Experience
-Proven experience working with WordPress
-Experience working with online booking, scheduling, or form-based systems
-Strong attention to detail
-Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately
-Clear written English communication
-Reliable availability and deadline management

Strongly Preferred (but not required):
-Experience with BookingKoala
-Experience with service-based or local business websites
-Basic SEO knowledge
-Conversion-focused website improvements
-Ongoing website maintenance experience

How This Project Will Work

You will receive:
-WordPress admin access
-Booking platform access (as needed)
-A detailed task list outlining all required website updates

You will:
-Review the task list and confirm understanding (below)
-Complete tasks in a structured, trackable manner
-Provide updates as items are completed
-Test all booking-related functionality before final delivery

Compensation
-Open to hourly or fixed-price proposals

-confirm whether house is more/less than 2,500 sq ft (can we automate this by pulling from ---------- data and/or county data)?
-if its a first time clean/new customer recommend doing a deep clean initially and then a standard/maintenance clean afterwards
-ask for condition of house if customer selects deep clean (is there heavy build-up) select ""yes""/""no"" ->add note that if cleaner evaluates that there is heavy build-up when onsite there will be a surcharge."
