Freight Agent

We are a U.S.-based company seeking a highly motivated Freight Agent to join our remote team. This is a 1099 contractor position offering bi-weekly pay, ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

Negotiate freight rates with carriers to secure cost-effective transportation solutions.
Coordinate and dispatch shipments to ensure timely delivery to customers.
Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and update customers on delivery status.
Develop and maintain relationships with carriers and customers to facilitate smooth operations.
Manage contracts, pricing, and data entry related to freight transactions.
Collaborate with sales and logistics teams to optimize supply chain efficiency.

Have Excellent attention to detail and a CAN-DO attitude
Comfortable with talking on the phone
Strong Negotiation Skills
Strong Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, Internet browsing, email, and understanding file locations
MS Office and Google Apps preferred
Understanding of basic Arithmetic and Geometry
