Part-Time Content Writer & Blogger (Remote)

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated content writer to help produce weekly newsletters, blog posts, and email content for our brand, Southwest 55 Plus. Our audience consists primarily of adults aged 55+ who are researching retirement and relocation to Arizona. Your writing will educate, inspire, and guide them through that journey.

This is a remote, part-time position for someone who is organized, self-directed, and interested in growing with a fast-moving media and real estate team.

Key Responsibilities

Write two newsletters per week for our email audience

Create blog posts based on real estate, retirement, and lifestyle topics

Draft email campaigns and automated email sequences

Conduct online research to support accurate, useful content

Use AI tools to assist with drafting, research, and editing

Format and schedule newsletters in Mailchimp

Add basic visual elements or layouts when needed

Maintain a consistent brand voice across all written content

Meet weekly deadlines with minimal supervision

Required Skills

Strong English writing and editing skills

Experience writing newsletters, blogs, or marketing emails

Familiarity with Mailchimp or similar email platforms

Understanding of blog structure, formatting, and readability

Basic design sense for simple layouts and visual elements

Comfortable using AI tools for writing and research

Ability to conduct daily online research for content topics

Reliable internet connection and consistent availability

Preferred (but not required)

Experience writing about real estate, retirement, or lifestyle topics

Knowledge of SEO basics for blog posts

Experience working with remote teams

Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools
