JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a full-time Social Media Video Editor who is more than just an editor.

You are the creative brain behind our social media.
The person who understands why a video hooks, not just how to cut it.

You will own our Instagram Reels, TikTok, and Facebook Reels — from raw footage to scroll-stopping content.

This role works very closely with our Website & SEO Content Creator.
One is inbound (blogs, Google).
One is outbound (social, attention).
Together, you are the left and right hand of the company.

What You Will Do
???? Video Editing & Creative Direction

Edit short-form videos using CapCut

Produce 2 high-quality videos per week

Understand pacing, hooks, subtitles, sound effects, and trends

Turn boring footage into engaging content

???? Social Media Execution

Create 5 social media posts per week

Platforms:

Instagram Reels

TikTok


Facebook
Reels

Optimize videos for each platform (format, timing, captions)

???? Creative Strategy (This Is Important)

Suggest content ideas proactively

Understand what works for:

Attention
Saves
Shares
Leads

Think in hooks, angles, and emotions — not just edits

???? Team Collaboration

Work closely with our Website Designer / SEO Content Creator
Repurpose blog content into short-form videos
Align messaging so website + social media push the same narrative
Weekly alignment via Zoom
Progress updates via WhatsApp

Required Skills (Non-Negotiable)
1?? Short-Form Video Editing (CapCut)

Must be able to:

Edit fast-paced, engaging short videos
Use subtitles, zooms, sound effects, overlays
Understand hook timing (first 1–3 seconds)
Export platform-ready videos (Reels / TikTok / FB)

2?? Social Media Platform Intelligence

Must understand:

What works on TikTok vs Instagram vs Facebook
Trend adaptation (not blind copying)
Caption writing basics
Hashtags, posting rhythm, and engagement signals

???? You don’t need to be an influencer.
You need to understand why people stop scrolling.

3?? Content Repurposing & Collaboration

Must be able to:

Convert blog ideas into short-form video concepts
Work with another creative (website/SEO person) smoothly
Maintain consistency in brand voice and visuals
Think campaign-style, not random posts
