The Role
We’re hiring an AI Prompt Engineer with practical agent-building knowledge.
You will design prompts for rule-based, task-specific AI agents that operate inside live business workflows.
This role requires understanding how agents actually function in systems, not just how to write prompts.
What You’ll Be Doing
Designing prompts for multi-step agents (intake ? qualification ? routing ? summary)
Translating business workflows into agent logic and constraints
Defining clear inputs, outputs, and stop conditions
Designing escalation rules and safe failure paths
Testing agents against edge cases and ambiguous inputs
Maintaining and improving agents post-deployment
Documenting agent behaviour and prompt logic in Notion
Must-Have Knowledge (Non-Negotiable)
You must understand and be able to demonstrate:
What an AI agent is (vs a chatbot or single prompt)
Agent loops, triggers, and task boundaries
The difference between:
reasoning vs execution
autonomy vs supervision
How agents interact with:

email
forms
CRMs
automation tools (Make/Zapier)
Designing agents that:
never guess
never invent data
escalate when unsure
stop once their task is complete
Prompt patterns for:
information collection
rule enforcement
classification and routing
summarisation (not generation)
If you’ve only written creative prompts or chatbots, this role is not a fit.
Required Skills
Strong written English (precise, calm, professional)
Logical, systems-based thinking
Experience building or assisting with agent-based workflows
Comfort working with constraints and rules
High attention to reliability and failure modes
Nice to Have
OpenAI model experience
Make or Zapier experience
Business operations or admin background
UK B2B service environment exposure
