Short-Form Video Editor (Raw Travel Vlogs, Shorts, Reels, TikTok)
We are looking for an experienced short-form video editor to turn long-form travel vlogs into high-retention, raw-style short videos.
This is not a beginner role. We are looking for someone who already understands short-form retention, pacing, and storytelling. Please do not apply if you do not have prior experience editing short-form content.
This is not a flashy edit role.
No music, no color grading, no heavy effects.
This role is about judgment, pacing, hooks, and storytelling.
Editing style (very important)
Our content follows the raw travel vlogger style. Think Luke Damant, Harry Jaggard, Bald and Bankrupt, Kurt Caz, and similar creators.

-No cinematic effects
-No color grading
-No fancy editing
-Clean cuts
-Natural pacing
-Strong hooks
-Subtitles that feel human, not spammy
-Letting
-Think real, immersive, curiosity-driven travel
What you will do
-Watch long-form travel videos and identify strong short-form
-Cut short videos optimized for retention
-Create clean subtitles
-Write engaging titles and short descriptions
-Stitch clips together to tell a clear micro-story
-Deliver finished, ready-to-post videos
What you will NOT do
-No social media uploading or scheduling
-No social media account management
-No social media analytics or reporting
-This role is editing only.
Requirements
-Proven experience editing short-form content for creators
-Strong understanding of hooks, pacing, and viewer curiosity
-Ability to find
-Comfortable working from long-form footage
-Fluent in English
-Reliable turnaround times
-Experience with travel or vlog content is a big plus
-High speed internet for downloading and uploading video files
-Laptop or desktop with sufficient storage space
Pay structure (per short, not hourly)
We pay per finished short, based on monthly volume ranges.
Monthly volume is agreed in advance and locked for that month.
Per month rates:
30 to 40 shorts: $8 per short
41 to 60 shorts: $7.50 per short
61 to 80 shorts: $7 per short
81 to 100 shorts: $6.50 per short
This may seem like a lot at first but once you understand our style of editing makes it easy to create a short and it's not bad.
Rates are not recalculated mid-month.
Tier can change month to month if volume changes.
Revisions
One revision included per short for timing or subtitle tweaks
Major reworks count as a new short
Paid trial (required)
Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a paid trial:
3 to 5 shorts
Paid at full rate
No timestamps given
This helps us evaluate pacing, judgment, and storytelling.
