Xero Exommerce Bookkeeper - CPA preferred

We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented accountant with proven experience in Shopify and eCommerce businesses to support ongoing bookkeeping, reconciliation, and financial reporting.

This is a long-term role for someone who understands how online brands actually operate (payment processors, fees, refunds, inventory, ads, etc.), not just basic bookkeeping.

What you’ll be responsible for:

- Monthly bookkeeping and reconciliation
- Handling Shopify payouts and reconciling
- Categorizing transactions accurately (COGS, ad spend, fees, refunds, apps, etc.)
- Managing sales tax / VAT reporting (experience required)
- Preparing clean monthly P&Ls and balance sheets
- Identifying inconsistencies, errors, or red flags proactively
- Supporting year-end tax prep

Requirements (please read carefully):

Proven experience with Shopify-based eCommerce brands (must be hands-on, not theoretical)

Strong experience with Xero (preferred) or quickbooks

Clear understanding of:
- Payment processor fees
- Refunds & chargebacks
- Inventory & COGS
- Ad platform spend (Meta, Google, TikTok)
- Experience with sales tax / VAT for eCommerce
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and ability to explain numbers clearly

Nice to have (not required):
-Experience with multi-country sales / VAT
-Experience working with 7-figure eCommerce brands
-Ability to give high-level financial insights (cash flow, margins, trends)
