Bookkeeper / Accounting Specialist (Restaurant Experience Required)

We are a growing restaurant business looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with strong experience in restaurant bookkeeping. This role is critical to keeping our financial records accurate and ensuring vendor invoices, purchases, and costs are properly tracked.

Experience with MarginEdge is a big plus and strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for restaurant operations
• Match vendor invoices with purchase orders and deliveries
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Manage accounts payable and ensure vendors are properly recorded
• Review food, beverage, and supply costs for accuracy
• Work with MarginEdge to:
• Match invoices and vendors
• Track costs and spending
• Ensure data syncs correctly with bookkeeping records
• Prepare weekly/monthly financial reports as needed
• Communicate clearly regarding missing invoices, mismatches, or concerns

Requirements
• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably for restaurants or hospitality businesses
• Strong understanding of accounts payable and vendor reconciliation
• Experience using MarginEdge (or similar restaurant cost management software)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Organized, dependable, and proactive
• Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines
• Strong written English communication skills

Nice to Have
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Knowledge of restaurant food & beverage cost controls
• Experience working with U.S.-based businesses
