Fractional Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) – Full-Service Marketing
Role Overview
The Fractional Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) is responsible for developing and executing an integrated marketing strategy that drives sustainable patient growth, brand visibility, and long-term market positioning for the practice. This role goes beyond individual marketing tactics and provides strategic leadership across brand, website, advertising, reputation management, and digital visibility.
Rather than a piecemeal or à la carte approach, the Fractional CMO oversees a cohesive, full-service marketing ecosystem, ensuring that all components work together to produce measurable results.
This role provides access to a full marketing team—including strategy, design, execution, and technology—at a fraction of the cost of hiring an internal marketing department.
Core Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Leadership
Develop and manage a comprehensive, integrated marketing strategy aligned with practice growth goals
Serve as the strategic marketing lead and advisor to practice leadership
Ensure consistency across brand messaging, visuals, and patient experience
Identify growth opportunities tied to market conditions, competition, and expansion plans
Brand & Website Oversight
Lead website strategy, structure, messaging, and conversion optimization
Ensure the website supports visibility, credibility, and patient acquisition—not just aesthetics
Align brand identity across website, digital platforms, and patient touchpoints
Digital Visibility & Patient Acquisition
Oversee SEO, local search visibility, and online presence
Manage paid advertising strategies (Google, social, or other channels as appropriate)
Implement systems to consistently attract and convert new patients
Monitor and optimize campaigns based on performance and ROI
Reputation & Review Management
Develop and oversee review generation and reputation strategies
Ensure consistent patient feedback collection and online credibility growth
Protect and enhance the practice’s digital reputation
Execution & Team Management
Coordinate strategy, design, implementation, and technology through a dedicated marketing team
Ensure all initiatives are executed on time, on brand, and aligned with goals
Remove the burden of managing multiple vendors or internal hires
Measurement & Performance Tracking
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as:
New patient acquisition
Cost per lead
Conversion rates
Online visibility and engagement
Provide clear reporting and insights to leadership
Continuously refine strategy based on results
Scalable support aligned with practice growth stages
