SEO Specialist (Remote | Contract)

We’re looking for an experienced SEO Specialist to take full ownership of organic search growth across our websites. This is a hands-on role, not theory or “SEO audits that go nowhere.”

If you’re someone who understands search intent, rankings, conversions, and tracking, this is for you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

- Keyword research focused on high-intent, money keywords

- On-page SEO (titles, meta, headers, internal linking, content optimisation)

- Technical SEO (site structure, page speed, indexing, schema basics)

- Content SEO guidance (briefs, optimisation, updates to existing pages)

- Local SEO optimisation (Google Business Profile, citations, service pages)

- Backlink strategy (ethical, quality links only – no spam)

- Tracking performance via Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs/SEMrush

- Reporting real outcomes: rankings, traffic, conversions (not vanity metrics)

Requirements:

Proven SEO experience with real ranking results
Strong understanding of:
Google algorithms & updates
On-page & technical SEO
Local SEO
Comfortable working with WordPress
Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks\
Clear communication and documentation
Time tracking required (tracked hours)

Nice to Have (But Not Mandatory)
Experience in service-based or local businesses
Basic knowledge of website structure / domain management
Experience working with international markets (Canada / USA / Australia)
