Contract Website Developer

Location: Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Contract Website Developer to support the design, development, and maintenance of our website and digital properties. This role is ideal for a self-directed professional who can translate business goals into clean, functional, user-friendly web experiences.

You will work closely with leadership to implement site updates, build new pages, optimize performance, and support ongoing digital initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop website pages (landing pages, service pages, blogs, etc.)
Implement UI/UX improvements to enhance user experience and conversion
Maintain and update existing website content and layouts
Ensure mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility
Optimize site speed and performance
Implement basic SEO best practices (metadata, image optimization, structure)
Troubleshoot bugs and technical issues
Integrate third-party tools (forms, CRMs, analytics, scheduling tools, etc.)
Provide documentation and handoff materials as needed

Required Qualifications

Proven experience as a Website Developer or Web Designer
Strong portfolio demonstrating recent work
Proficiency with the following platforms:
GoDaddy Website Tools is a must
Conversion-focused design (funnels, landing pages)
Canva
Squarespace
Google Analytics / Tag Manager
CRM or marketing automation integrations
Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design
Experience with basic SEO implementation
Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Preferred / Bonus Skills
JavaScript or framework experience
AI design
Accessibility best practices

Compensation
Competitive contract rates based on experience and project scope, $350 to $500 upon website completion. Opportunity for ongoing retainer work based on performance, $100 -$200 monthly for website maintenance. Additional opportunities for full-time work based on skillset and quality of work.
