About the Client

You’ll be supporting one of our VIP legal clients—a highly respected, California-based solo legal practice with nearly 40 years of experience serving personal injury and estate planning clients.

This firm is known for:

Consistently securing favorable personal injury settlements

Efficiently closing complex estates and probate matters

Delivering personalized, hands-on legal service through a sole-practitioner model

Maintaining a strong reputation for integrity, advocacy, and client trust

As the practice continues to grow, the attorney is intentionally building a lean, high-caliber support team that values ownership, accountability, and excellence.

The Role

We’re looking for a dedicated Paralegal to play a critical role in managing personal injury cases (primary focus) while providing secondary support for probate and estate planning matters.

Your work will directly free up the attorney to focus on high-value and complex cases—meaning your organization, accuracy, and follow-through truly matter.

This is not a passive support role. You’ll be deeply involved in real filings, deadlines, and trial preparation.

What You’ll Do

Personal Injury & Litigation Support

Manage smaller PI cases end-to-end through pre-litigation

Draft and organize pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, and litigation documents

Track and calendar deadlines, court dates, discovery schedules, and motion timelines

Trial Preparation

Prepare trial binders, exhibits, witness files, and case materials

Coordinate deposition and hearing prep logistics

Case Management & Filing

Maintain accurate, trial-ready files in Clio

Handle e-filings via One Legal (or similar platforms) and track proofs of service

Client Communication

Serve as a primary or secondary point of contact for clients

Help prep clients for depositions, IMEs, and court appearances

Medical Records & Damages

Request, track, and organize medical records and billing

Assist with medical summaries, chronologies, and damages documentation

Probate / Estate Support (Secondary)

Assist with filings and organization as needed

Flag litigation-adjacent issues such as discovery disputes or property overlaps

What We’re Looking For

2–3 years of personal injury paralegal experience, from intake through pre-lit

Working knowledge of discovery, pleadings, and litigation procedures

Proficiency with Clio; comfort learning new legal tech and AI-enabled tools

Experience with One Legal or similar e-filing systems (strongly preferred)

Interest in innovation and efficiency (tools like Supio are a plus)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Bilingual ability preferred

Proven success working remotely with minimal supervision

Why This Role Stands Out

Direct attorney collaboration — no layers, no bureaucracy

Real trial prep responsibility — your work impacts outcomes

Growth-oriented environment with plans to expand

Exposure to modern legal technology and AI tools

Meaningful work supporting clients during critical ---------- nts

Compensation & Setup

$1,500–$2,000/month (global contractor; based on experience)

Work Hours: Core availability 10:00 AM–6:00 PM Pacific Time (flexible as long as deadlines are met)

Tech-forward environment using Apple systems and modern legal tools

Contractor role; retirement options (if available) discussed during offer stage
