Job Overview
We are seeking a PRC-licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to support our growing U.S. tax services operation. This role focuses on consulting and supporting U.S. tax professionals (tax preparers and tax managers) with tax return preparation, review support, and technical tax assistance.
This is a non-signatory role intended for an experienced accounting professional who understands U.S. tax concepts and workflows and can collaborate with U.S.-based tax teams.
Licensing Requirement (Mandatory)
Must hold an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license issued by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Philippines
Must be able to provide PRC license number for verification
PICPA membership is a plus but not required
Applications without an active PRC CPA license will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
U.S. Tax Support & Consultation
Support U.S. tax professionals with preparation and review of tax returns
Assist with tax research and interpretation of U.S. tax rules
Prepare and review workpapers, schedules, and reconciliations
Provide technical input and guidance related to tax filings
Tax Return Support (Non-Signatory)
Support preparation of U.S. tax returns, including but not limited to:
Individual (Form 1040)
Business returns (Forms 1120, 1120-S, 1065)
Assist with identifying issues, inconsistencies, and compliance risks
Ensure accuracy and proper documentation
Collaboration & Communication
Consult with U.S. tax professionals regarding tax questions and scenarios
Participate in internal discussions related to tax filings and processes
Communicate clearly and professionally in English
Required Experience & Skills
PRC-licensed CPA (Philippines) – required
Experience supporting U.S. tax filings (direct or offshore)
Familiarity with U.S. tax concepts, terminology, and workflows
Strong accounting fundamentals and analytical skills
Excellent written and spoken English
Detail-oriented, organized, and professional
Comfortable working with U.S.-based teams
Nice to Have (Not Required)
Experience working with U.S. CPA or EA firms
Familiarity with U.S. tax software (Drake, UltraTax, ProSeries, Lacerte, etc.)
Experience with bookkeeping or payroll for U.S. clients
Experience working EST or overlapping U.S. hours
Work Schedule & Availability
Availability during U.S. Eastern Standard Time (EST) preferred
Schedule flexibility may be available depending on workload
Long-term engagement preferred
