We are a small UK-based property sourcing business working with charities, supported living providers and housing associations in the North East of England. We already have a list of target organisations and now need a detail-oriented VA to help us identify the right people to speak to and prepare high-quality outreach lists.
This role is ideal for someone with strong B2B research or lead-generation experience who enjoys digging for information and organising it clearly.
Role Overview
Your main responsibility is to turn our existing list of organisations into a structured list of relevant contacts and outreach opportunities.
You will not be doing hard selling. The focus is research, light information-gathering calls, and clean documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Research each organisation on our list using a variety of online sources.
Identify suitable contacts who are likely to be involved in housing, property, operations or related decision-making.
Collect and record the information we specify into our spreadsheet or tracking system.
Use multiple research methods, including:
- Organisation websites
- Professional networking platforms (e.g. LinkedIn)
- Search engines and other online tools
Make short, focused calls to organisations when needed, to clarify who the appropriate contact or department is.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and keep everything clearly organised.
Flag higher-priority organisations or contacts according to simple criteria we will explain.
(Optional) Help draft simple, professional outreach messages based on templates and guidance we provide.
All detailed criteria about which contacts to look for, what information to capture, and how to prioritise will be provided.
Requirements
Strong online research skills and ability to think logically about “who is likely to be the right person”.
Proven experience in B2B research, contact discovery, list building, or similar work.
Comfortable using common online tools and platforms for business research.
Strong written English and attention to detail.
Confident making short, professional information-gathering calls to UK organisations.
Good skills with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) and careful data entry.
Reliable internet connection and a quiet environment for occasional calls.
Able to work during UK office hours, with at least 3–4 hours overlap between 9:00–17:00 UK time, Monday–Friday, for the next month, with the possibility of extension if results are satisfactory.
Nice-to-Have (Not Essential)
Experience working with UK or European clients.
Experience with charities, social housing, supported living or public-sector style organisations.
Experience supporting sales, business development or lead generation teams.
