About the Role
Peachy is a Shopify-focused design and development agency working with growing eCommerce brands.
As we scale, our biggest opportunity is improving quality, reliability, and confidence in everything we ship.
We’re looking for an Ecommerce QA Tester who will proactively ensure our Shopify builds, updates, and optimizations are bug-free, conversion-safe, and client-ready before launch.
This role is critical in helping Peachy move from reactive fixes to proactive quality assurance.
What You’ll Own
1. Proactively identify bugs, UX issues, and edge cases across client Shopify stores
2. Test new builds, feature updates, and optimizations before client delivery
3. Validate that changes do not negatively impact conversion, checkout, or core flows
4. Translate QA findings into clear, actionable feedback for developers and designers
5. Support account managers by ensuring confidence in what we ship to clients
6. Help Peachy lead with quality — not react to post-launch issues
Key Responsibilities:
• QA Testing & Validation
• Perform QA testing on Shopify stores (new builds and ongoing clients)
• Test across:
• Product detail pages (PDPs)
• Collection and navigation flows
• Cart, checkout, and post-purchase experiences
• Upsells, bundles, subscriptions, and app integrations
• Identify and document:
1. Functional bugs
2. UI/UX inconsistencies
3. Mobile vs desktop issues
4. Browser-specific issues
Shopify-Specific QA
• Strong understanding of Shopify themes and layouts
• Familiar with Shopify checkout behavior and limitations
• QA testing of Shopify apps (upsells, bundles, reviews, subscriptions, loyalty, etc.)
• Validate app interactions don’t break:
1. Performance
2. UX
3. Conversion-critical flows
Bug Reporting & Collaboration
• Create clear QA reports with:
- Steps to reproduce
- Screenshots or recordings
- Priority/severity level
• Work closely with:
1. Developers
2. Designers
3. Account managers
• Track issues through resolution and retesting
Proactive Quality Control
- Catch issues before clients do
- Flag potential risks early (conversion, usability, performance)
- Help establish QA checklists and repeatable testing processes
What We’re Looking For (Must-Have Skills)
Ecommerce & QA Experience
• Experience QA testing ecommerce websites (Shopify preferred)
• Strong understanding of ecommerce user flows and common failure points
• Knows how bugs impact:
1. Conversion rate
2. Checkout completion
3. Customer trust
Shopify Knowledge
- Hands-on experience navigating Shopify admin and storefronts
- Comfortable testing themes, templates, and app integrations
- Understands Shopify-specific constraints and best practices
Attention to Detail & Critical Thinking
- Strong eye for detail — catches issues others miss
- Able to think like a real customer, not just a tester
- Can prioritize bugs based on impact, not just volume
Communication
- Excellent written English
- Can clearly explain issues to non-technical stakeholders
- Provides concise, structured, and actionable feedback

- Experience creating QA checklists or testing playbooks
