Senior Blockchain & Trading Systems Engineer (Web Platform)

Project Overview

We are building a web-based crypto trading signal platform that delivers real-time trading signals to users. The system currently exists as a Windows desktop application, and the goal is to re-architect and migrate it into a scalable, secure, and high-performance web application.

The platform processes live market data, applies trading logic and indicators, and distributes actionable signals with low latency to traders operating across multiple exchanges.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop a web-based trading application that mirrors and extends the functionality of the existing Windows trading system

Implement real-time data pipelines for crypto market data (price feeds, order books, indicators, volume, volatility)

Build and optimize signal generation engines for crypto trading strategies

Develop low-latency communication layers using WebSockets, streaming APIs, or message queues

Integrate with centralized and decentralized crypto exchanges (REST / WebSocket APIs)

Architect scalable backend services capable of handling high-frequency market updates

Ensure data integrity, fault tolerance, and high availability for live trading signals

Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access control for users

Apply security best practices for crypto-related systems (API key handling, encryption, rate limiting)

Collaborate on system design for future automation, including bot execution and portfolio tracking

Required Technical Skills

Core Technologies

Strong experience with web application development (React, Next.js, or similar frameworks)

Backend expertise with Node.js, Python, or similar high-performance server runtimes

Real-time communication using WebSockets, SSE, or streaming protocols

Blockchain & Trading

Solid understanding of cryptocurrency markets, trading mechanics, and market structure

Experience working with crypto exchange APIs (spot, futures, derivatives)

Knowledge of trading indicators, strategies, and signal processing

Familiarity with blockchain fundamentals (transactions, blocks, confirmations, gas, smart contracts)

Understanding of latency-sensitive systems and event-driven architectures

Infrastructure & Data

Experience with high-frequency data ingestion and processing

Databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, or time-series databases

Cloud deployment using AWS, GCP, or Azure

Containerization with Docker and orchestration basics (optional Kubernetes)

Preferred / Bonus Skills

Experience with automated trading bots or execution engines

Knowledge of DeFi protocols, on-chain data indexing, or Web3 integrations

Familiarity with risk management systems and position sizing logic

Experience migrating desktop applications to web platforms

Background in financial systems, fintech, or algorithmic trading
