Content & Marketing Manager (YouTube + Newsletter + Social Media) | Part-Time | Long-Term

Hi! I’m Tom, a Sydney-based mortgage broker and podcast host building a personal brand in the Australian property space.

I run:

- Wombat Home Loans (mortgage broking)
- The Property Web Podcast / YouTube Channel

I’m looking for a long-term marketing/content team member who can help manage and grow my content ecosystem.

This role is ideal for someone who is both strategic + hands-on (planning AND execution).

Your main focus (priority order)

1) Newsletter Subscriber Growth (high priority)
- Grow my email list through lead magnets, funnels, opt-in pages, and content promotion
- Suggest and help implement strategies to increase newsletter signups from YouTube/podcast/social
- Track results and optimise conversion (I write the newsletter myself in Kit.com — you focus on growing the subscriber base.)

2) YouTube growth + content repurposing
- Upload and publish YouTube episodes (titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails)
- Cut Shorts/Reels from podcast recordings
- Improve YouTube packaging (titles/thumbnails/hooks)
- Coordinate freelancers for advanced video editing if needed

3) Social media execution
- Schedule Instagram + Facebook content
- Write captions (AI-assisted is fine, but must sound human)
- Reply to comments/DMs (LinkedIn excluded)

Tools we use
- Notion, Canva, Riverside, Buffer, Meta Suite, Google Drive, ChatGPT/Gemini, Kit, ScoreApp
- Notion experience is helpful but not essential.

- Monday planning call
- Daily async updates in Notion
- Friday review call
- I will approve major decisions early on until trust is built

Who you are
- Proactive / self-starting
- Strong English writing skills
- Comfortable editing short-form video clips
- Marketing strategy mindset (not just “posting”)
- Organised and reliable (you can manage deadlines without reminders)
- Comfortable using AI tools to speed up writing and ideation

What success looks like (first 60–90 days)
- A clear content calendar and repeatable weekly workflow in Notion
- Consistent publishing of podcast clips + YouTube Shorts
- Improved YouTube titles/thumbnails and stronger packaging
- At least 1–2 lead magnet / signup funnel ideas implemented
- Measurable increase in newsletter subscribers and channel engagement
