JOB OVERVIEW

Please do not apply if you have not worked closely with influencers or creators at a strategic or creative direction level.

We are hiring for a Creative Strategist to take ownership of content operations, execution, and creative decision-making across platforms.

This is a senior, high-agency role for someone with strong taste, judgment, initiative, and systems thinking. The Creative Strategist sits above a traditional VA, works closely with an editor, and helps ensure that content moves from idea to execution smoothly, consistently, and with intention.

This is not a task-only VA role and not a professional video editor role.

The long-term goal is for this person to proactively drive content execution and eventually tell us what you need from us rather than waiting for instructions.

Core Responsibilities
1. Content Strategy & Planning
- Own and manage the content calendar across platforms
- Work with the founder to define:
- weekly content cadence
- filming schedules
- what content should be created and when
- Translate high-level ideas, notes, and positioning into:
- scripts
- post outlines
- repeatable content formats or series
- Ensure content aligns with:
- target audience
- content pillars
- long-term positioning (not just virality)

2. Content Execution & Operations
- Execute content with a strong bias toward action
- Turn ideas into publish-ready content efficiently
- Liaise with the editor and manage clear handoffs
- Independently handle simple, quick-turn edits when needed, including:
- clean cuts
- pacing and flow
- judgment-based trims
- Use Canva and CapCut for execution
(This is intentionally not a professional editing role — judgment matters more than polish)

3. Content Repurposing
- Repurpose long-form or written content into short-form formats, including:
- turning a weekly newsletter into reels, carousels, or short posts
- adapting content across platforms when appropriate
- Ensure repurposed content maintains voice, clarity, and intent

4. Systems, SOPs & Leverage
- Build and maintain content systems and workflows
- Create and update SOPs for content execution
- Sit as a senior layer above the VA and delegate executional tasks where appropriate
- Ensure processes are documented clearly so others can plug in quickly
- Help reduce the founder as a day-to-day execution bottleneck

5. Judgment, Taste & Brand Stewardship
- Maintain and evolve the brand’s voice, storytelling style, and overall “vibe”
- Make thoughtful, day-to-day creative decisions independently
- Curate content quality and consistency across platforms
- Balance creativity with strategic intent and audience needs

6. Analytics & Performance Awareness
- Review basic analytics and engagement data
- Identify patterns in what is and isn’t performing
- Use insights to inform content improvements and experimentation
- Flag opportunities or issues worth the founder’s attention

7. Audience Engagement (Selective)
- Respond to comments and DMs in a way that is thoughtful and brand-aligned
- Exercise judgment in public engagement
- Escalate or flag conversations that require founder input

8. AI Usage & Automation
- Use AI tools strategically for:
- writing support
- ideation
- repurposing
- automation
- AI should enhance speed and leverage, not replace judgment
- Output should never feel obviously AI-generated

What We’re Looking For
Must-Have Traits
- Strong creative taste, judgment, and storytelling instinct
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High initiative and comfort with ambiguity
- Ability to turn messy ideas into structured systems
- Strong documentation habits
- Comfortable operating with partial direction
- Willingness to learn tools independently and self-teach

Required Tools
- Canva
- CapCut (or willingness to learn quickly)
- Notion (experience preferred, self-teaching required if new)

Nice-to-Haves
- Experience working with creators or creator-adjacent businesses
- Familiarity with business or finance concepts
- Prior ownership of content operations or creative systems

What Success Looks Like (60–90 Days)
- Content cadence feels consistent and intentional
- Ideas move smoothly from concept to execution
- Clear systems and SOPs are in place
- Execution can be delegated without constant oversight
- The founder is no longer the primary bottleneck for content decisions

Hiring Process
- Shortlisted candidates will complete a paid, hands-on Creative Strategist test designed to assess:
- Understanding of brand tone and audience
- Creative ideation aligned with existing strategy
-Ability to bring ideas to life (script, carousel, or simple edit)
- Judgment in analyzing underperforming content
- Clarity of thinking and communication
