???? YouTube Video Editor (Shorts + Long-Form)
Automation / No-Code / Software Content
We’re looking for a YouTube video editor who understands retention, pacing, and visual storytelling — not just transitions and captions.
Our content lives in the automation, no-code, AI, and software dev space. This is educational content that still needs to feel fast, modern, and addictive.
???? What You’ll Edit
- YouTube Shorts (20–60s)
- Fast cuts
- Pattern interrupts
- Dynamic captions
- Scroll-stopping pacing
- Long-form YouTube videos (8–20 min)
- Clean structure
- Tight pacing (no dead air)
- B-roll, overlays, zooms, emphasis where it matters
- Retention-focused editing
? What We’re Looking For
You’re a great fit if you:
- Understand YouTube retention (not just aesthetics)
- Know how to edit Shorts that perform
- Can make talking-head content engaging
- Are comfortable editing technical / educational content
- Can follow clear feedback and improve fast
???? Not a Fit If You:
- Over-edit with cheesy effects
- Edit like it’s a wedding video
- Don’t understand pacing or hooks
- Need exact timestamps for every cut
???? Bonus Points (Not Required)
- You’ve edited Shorts with 100k+ views
- You understand shorts ? long-form funneling
- You can suggest visual hooks or pattern interrupts
- Experience with tech, AI, SaaS, or dev content
???? Tools
- Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve
- Experience with captions (Premiere, CapCut, or similar)
???? Compensation
- Hourly rate
- Consistent volume
- Long-term work if it’s a fit
???? How to Apply
Send:
1. Examples of Shorts you edited (important)
2. 1–2 long-form samples
3. Your hourly rate
4. (Optional but ????) How you’d improve retention in a talking-head video
