Hey! Quick question...
When you see a pet video blow up on TikTok with 2 million views, do you immediately start reverse-engineering why it worked? Do you know the difference between a hook that grabs in 0.5 seconds vs one that loses people? If your brain just went "obviously" — keep reading.
**About Us:**
We're an e-commerce brand in the custom pet art space. Customers upload a photo of their pet and we transform it into custom artwork — regal kings and queens, comic book heroes, Renaissance paintings, you name it. We sell both digital downloads and premium framed prints. We're actively running
**The Role — What You'd Own:**
- Short-form video editing is the core of this job. TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts,
- I'll record raw footage on my phone — before/after pet transformations, how the artwork gets created, unboxings, customer reactions — and you'll turn that into scroll-stopping content
- Captioning and subtitles on everything (most people watch on mute, you already know this)
- Creating multiple ad variations from one concept — different hooks, different CTAs, different lengths
- Thumbnail creation for video content
- Occasional static ad creatives or social media graphics when needed
**What Makes This Interesting:**
- You'll see real data on what works. We run paid ads and track everything — CTR, cost per click, conversions. You'll know exactly which of your edits performed best and can learn/iterate.
- The content is fun. It's pets. People love pets. You won't be editing corporate training videos.
- You'll have creative freedom. I'll give you the raw material and a general direction, but how you execute is up to you.
**Ideal Person:**
- Lives and breathes short-form video — TikTok and Reels aren't just platforms, they're research
- Fast editor — can turn around multiple 15-30 second video within a day
- Knows how to make the first 1-2 seconds count (the hook is everything)
- Comfortable with CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar
- Can handle vertical AND square formats
- Speaks/writes solid English for caption work and text overlays
- Bonus: Has edited for e-commerce or direct-to-consumer brands before
- Bonus: Can do basic graphic design (Canva-level is fine)
**Details:**
- Part-time: 20 hours per week
- Pay: Discussed after interview (competitive for PT video editing)
- Flexible hours — Im open to suggestions.
- Long-term position — I want someone who grows with the brand
- Communication via Slack, zoom g meetings
**Future Growth:**
As we scale, there's potential for additional responsibilities — things like helping prepare digital orders for delivery, managing social media posting schedules, or even coordinating with print fulfillment. But for now, it's all about the video.
**How to Apply:**
Please follow these steps exactly:
1.
2. Include your OnlineJobs.ph profile link
3. Send 2-3 samples of short-form video content you've edited (Reels, TikToks, short ads). Links to live posts are even better than files.
4. Let me know what tools you use and your weekly availability
5. Brief note about your experience with video editing (even a few sentences is fine)
**Important:** I only hire through video interviews. No exceptions. We'll hop on a quick video call so I can get to know you before we move forward. No pressure — just a conversation. But chat-only applicants will not be considered.
Also — I'm looking for an individual, not an agency or a team. I want to work directly with one person I can build a relationship with.
