About the Role:
I'm seeking a reliable video editor for an initial 2-month intensive period (24 hours/week) to help scale my calisthenics content creation. This starting position has clear potential to evolve into something much bigger.
Timeline & Work Structure:
Phase 1 (2 months - until April 8th): Intensive production period at 24 hours/week
Phase 2 (from April 8th): I'll be on vacation, workload will significantly decrease during this time (you'll still be paid for reduced hours)
After this initial period, we can discuss expanding back to full capacity and beyond
Budget & Growth Opportunity:
Starting rate: $700/month for 24 hours/week
Important: This is my minimum viable budget to launch. If our workflow is efficient and allows me to focus on content creation and business development, I'm fully open to increasing your rate, hours, and expanding your role significantly.
Long-term vision: This current position is temporary. I'm simultaneously developing story-driven video projects where the right editor could upgrade their position and take on more creative responsibilities.
Expansion mindset: My vision isn't limited to one YouTube channel. I'm ready to invest and expand across multiple platforms and formats, which means growth opportunities for people working with me.
Current Production:
2 cinematic vlogs per week ? scaling to 3 per week with your help
Duration: 10-20 minutes per video
Style: 70% raw talks/dialogue + b-roll, cinematic sequences (format will naturally evolve)
Channel reference:
Required Skills:
The technical skills aren't overly complex - the core of this work is seamlessness and consistency:
J-cuts and smooth audio transitions
Understanding sports/calisthenics content (I'll support you with unfamiliar terminology)
Sense of pacing and rhythm
Basic motion graphics (I provide rough designs, you animate/refine - nothing too complex)
Bonus: SFX and sound design experience
Responsibilities:
Edit videos following our established workflow
Upload final videos to YouTube (full publishing process)
Maintain consistent quality across all deliverables

Final assembly and delivery
You upload the finished video
Note: I'm based in France (GMT+1/CET). I will give feedbacks and directives between 7am-11am GMT+1 / 2pm-6pm GMT+8. The rest of our workflow is asynchronous via
Support & Onboarding:
I will provide detailed editing guidelines to ensure clarity
I'm fully committed to taking the time needed at the beginning to get you up to speed
Open communication throughout to refine our workflow
Growing Together:
I want to elevate myself alongside my editor. We'll have at least one meeting per week (possibly more) to exchange feedback, improve our process, and grow our skills together. These meetings aren't part of the paid hours - I see this as a mutual investment where we both benefit and level up together.
What I'm Looking For:
Primarily, I need someone who can execute tasks efficiently and consistently. The foundation of this work is reliability and maintaining seamless quality across all videos.
However, if you're someone who thinks critically, brings creative ideas, and has vision, I'm absolutely open to feedback and collaboration. As I develop more story-driven content, there's real potential for the right person to grow into a creative partner role.
The Bigger Picture:
This isn't just about one YouTube channel. I'm building something larger and I'm ready to invest in expansion. If you're looking for a position that could evolve beyond basic editing into more creative storytelling work, this could be the right opportunity.
Next Steps:
I'd like to start with paid test project(s) to ensure we're a good fit. Please apply with:
Your portfolio or previous work
Your availability (especially for the intensive 2-month period)
Brief introduction about your editing experience and what you're looking for long-term
Looking forward to building together!
