Video Editor — Short-Form Ads for TikTok & Reels (Full-Time, Dedicated)

We are a performance marketing company running paid ads on TikTok and other platforms. We need a fast, reliable video editor to produce high volumes of short-form video ads daily. You will work under our Creative Strategist and alongside our media buying team.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Edit 3–5+ short-form video ads per day (15–60 seconds each) based on creative briefs
Create multiple variations of winning ads: swap hooks, change text overlays, adjust pacing, test different CTAs
Add text overlays, captions, subtitles, and basic motion graphics
Edit raw UGC/creator footage into polished direct response ads
Match TikTok native styles — ads should feel organic, not overproduced
Implement feedback and revisions quickly (same-day turnaround for minor edits)
Stay updated on TikTok trends, transitions, and popular editing styles
Maintain an organized file system for all projects and assets
Export in correct formats and specs for TikTok, Meta, and YouTube Shorts

REQUIREMENTS:

1+ year experience editing short-form video content (TikTok, Reels, or Shorts)
Proficient in CapCut (desktop version) — this is our primary tool
Fast editing speed — you can produce a complete 30-second ad variation in under 1 hour
Good eye for pacing, timing, and what looks native to TikTok
Clean text overlays, captions, and basic motion graphics
Reliable internet connection and a computer that handles video editing smoothly
Strong attention to detail — no typos, clean cuts, proper audio levels
Responsive communicator — reply within 30 minutes during work hours

NICE TO HAVE:

Adobe Premiere Pro or After Effects experience
Experience editing ads specifically (not just organic content)
Understanding of what makes a good ad hook (first 3 seconds)
Green screen, split screen, or picture-in-picture editing experience
