**Role Overview
I run a fast-growing content and advertising agency in the UK specialising in short-form social media content, paid ads, and interview-style video production. Due to a rising client load, I am hiring a part-time Video Editor to take ownership of daily editing tasks, streamline my workflow, and deliver consistently high-quality content across multiple industries.
This role suits an editor who can work independently, manage a high-volume editing workflow, and adapt to different client styles with minimal supervision. A long-term working relationship is the goal, with potential to transition to full-time as the client base grows.
**Key Responsibilities
*Daily Editing & Output
-Edit 4-5 short-form videos per day (approx.).
-Produce content for clients in sectors such as consulting, property development, utilities, and personal brands.
-Edit head-talking videos, interview clips, B-roll overlays, and social media–ready reels.
*Post-Production Tasks
-Colour grade footage (Final Cut Pro style/look). – Optional
-Add captions, simple graphics, automated subtitles (CapCut or similar tools), and relevant b-roll from a library of footage
-Cut down long interviews into short-form, punchy clips for social media distribution.
*Workflow & File Management
-Manage raw assets provided by Owen (typically interview footage).
-Upload edited versions using Frame for revisions and feedback.
-Maintain an organised asset library using tools such as Frame and L
-Follow custom SOPs and adapt to new workflow processes as they are developed.
*Client-Specific Delivery
-Edit bespoke content based on each client’s brand, tone, and messaging.
-Ensure final outputs are suitable for Instagram and
-Apply consistent branding, pacing, and colour grading (colour grading optional) across all deliverables.
**Required Skills & Experience
-Strong experience editing short-form social media content.
-Ability to manage high-volume editing without sacrificing quality.
-Excellent understanding of pacing, storytelling, and retention in short-form content.
-Comfortable working independently with minimal hand-holding.
-Skilled with tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
-Experience creating captioned content and social-native edits.
-Strong audio cleaning and sound design skills.
**Preferred (But Not Required)
-Familiarity with Final Cut Pro workflows (not essential; alternatives acceptable).
-Experience with
-Ability to create simple graphics, emojis, and kinetic-style captions.
-Experience working with Western clients or agencies.
-Comfortable with fast-paced content production.
-Proficient in colour grading (Final Cut Pro look preferred). (Optional)

**Working Hours
7am-11am UK time (4 hours/day) for onboarding and ongoing work.
Flexibility may increase once workflow processes are established.
Monthly Volume Expectations
Initially: 10-15 edited videos per new client/month, with several active clients.
Daily: 4-5 short-form edits depending on workload and content requirements.
The role has scope to expand to full-time based on success as the agency continues to scale.

Consistent delivery of polished short-form content.
Quick turnaround times and reliable daily output.
Minimal need for revision due to a strong understanding of our editing style.
Ownership over the editing process, allowing us to focus on strategy and client acquisition.
