YouTube Video Editor (Longform, Shorts, Thumbnails, etc)

About the Role:

I run a growing YouTube channel in the Amazon reselling / business space. I’m looking for a long-term video editor and creative partner who can help me edit high-quality longform YouTube videos, turn them into engaging short-form content (Shorts, Reels, TikTok), and actively contribute ideas to help grow the channel.

This is not just a basic editing role. I want someone who understands YouTube, pacing, hooks, and storytelling — and wants to grow alongside the channel.

$300/Month Part-Time with the opportunity to grow into a Full-Time role

What You’ll Be Doing:

- Edit longform YouTube videos (8–15 minutes)

- Create multiple short-form clips from each longform video

- Add engaging captions, jump cuts, zooms, b-roll, sound effects, and on-screen text when appropriate

- Help identify strong hooks for shorts

- Occasionally suggest title ideas, thumbnail concepts, or content ideas

- Collaborate with me to improve retention and engagement over time

What I’m Looking For:

- Strong experience editing YouTube videos (portfolio required)

- Experience creating YouTube Shorts / Reels / TikTok

- Good understanding of pacing, hooks, and viewer retention

- Comfortable taking feedback and improving quickly

- English comprehension strong enough to understand nuance and jokes

- Someone who actually cares about the channel’s growth, not just clocking hours

Bonus (Not Required, but Huge Plus):

- Familiar with business, e-commerce, or finance content

- Has worked with YouTube creators before

- Understands basic YouTube analytics (CTR, retention, AVD)
