Long Form YouTube Video Editor - Photography Education

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled video editor to handle long-form YouTube content for our photography education channel. You'll be working directly with founder to produce engaging, clean educational videos that help photographers improve their skills.

Strong candidates ideally have some form of photography/Lightroom knowledge

You are to mirror the exact videos we are currently making.

Key Responsibilities

Edit long-form YouTube videos (10-30+ minutes) focused on photography education
Cut and pace talking head footage to maintain viewer engagement
Create simple title screens and minimal graphics as needed
Deliver polished, professional edits that match our brand aesthetic
Handle additional editing tasks as time allows

Required Skills & Experience

Expert-level talking head editing – ability to create dynamic, well-paced cuts
Experience with educational/tutorial content
Clean, minimal editing style (reference: Ed Lawrence on YouTube)
Strong sense of pacing and viewer retention
Efficient workflow and reliable turnaround times

Style Guidelines

No music in edits
Minimal graphics (primarily title screens)
Focus on clean cuts and natural flow
Educational content that prioritizes clarity over flash

Successful applicants will edit a trial video (that willl not be published) to determine suitability.
