YouTube Video Editor (Editing + Thumbnails + Shorts)

I'm Renan, CEO of Accelerate AI and currently building two YouTube channels from the ground up:

Channel 1: AI programming tutorials and build-in-public content
Channel 2: Systems thinking, health transformation, and community building

I'm looking for a video editor who wants to grow WITH the business rather than just work FOR it. This is a startup role with startup compensation: lower base salary now, significant commission potential as the channels grow.
What You'll Do (48-50 hours/week):
Video Editing (6 videos/week - 3 per channel):

Simple, clean editing style: black backgrounds, jump cuts, strategic zoom in/outs
Add 5-8 b-roll clips per video where appropriate
Remove silences and filler words (using AI tools like Gling.ai/Descript)
Basic text overlays and clean audio
Videos range 15-30 minutes each

Thumbnail Creation (6 per week):

High-CTR thumbnail designs using templates and brand consistency
Bold, readable text with emotional faces/compelling visuals
1280x720 resolution, optimized for mobile viewing

YouTube Shorts (14 per week - 1 daily per channel):

Extract engaging clips from main videos
Vertical format optimization with captions
Quick turnaround editing

Content Planning Support:

Help identify best ---------- nts for shorts

What I'm Looking For:

? Thumbnail design capability (using any tool: Photoshop, Canva, Figma, AI platforms, etc.)
? Entrepreneurial mindset - you want to build something, not just clock hours
? Self-starter - I'll give direction, but you take ownership
? Excellent English communication
? Reliable internet and equipment
Compensation Structure (BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF - READ CAREFULLY):
This is a startup role with growth-based pay:
Base Salary: $ ---------- /month (based on experience)
Tiered Commission Structure (starts Month 3):

First $2,000/month in channel revenue: 2% commission
$2,001-$5,000/month: 3% commission
$5,000+/month: 4% commission

Example earnings as channels grow:

$1,000/month revenue = $20 commission
$3,000/month revenue = $70 commission ($40 on first $2K + $30 on next $1K)
$6,000/month revenue = $170 commission ($40 + $90 + $40)
$10,000/month revenue = $370 commission

Subscriber Milestone Bonuses:

1,000 subs per channel: $50 bonus
5,000 subs per channel: $100 bonus
10,000 subs per channel: $200 bonus
25,000 subs per channel: $500 bonus
50,000 subs per channel: $1,000 bonus

Performance Bonuses:

Videos hitting 50K+ views: $25 bonus per video
Videos hitting 100K+ views: $50 bonus per video

Potential Total Compensation: $800-1,200+/month within 6-12 months as channels grow
