Job Description Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing complex accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounting principles. As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Knowledge - Education, certifications, courses, training,

Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online.
• QuickBooks Certification preferred; May be required to achieve after arrival
• Experience managing Accounts Payable
• Experience with expense management
• Experience tracking payroll
• Experience with Accounts Receivable
• Experience with banking
• Experience reporting data
• Experience with month end close
• Experience with Sales Tax (as required: Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C. and California)
• Experience following Generally Accepted Account Practices (GAAP)
• Experience balancing books
• Experience with CW invoicing

• Accounts Receivable Management
o Create, send, sync, review, update, delete, and recreate invoices
o Apply client payments to invoices in QuickBooks
o Audit purchase orders and sync to QuickBooks
o Bank matching
o Create and apply credit memos to invoices
• Reporting
o Prepare daily and weekly reports
o Update revenue and product COGS class in QuickBooks
o Update invoice location for paid invoices in QuickBooks
• Accounts Payable Management
o Enter bills in QuickBooks
o Process vendor payments
• Financial Reporting
o Month-end closing
o Financial reporting and analysis
