Virtual Kitchen Designer – Cabinet Layouts & Basic Design (Remote, Part-Time)

Job Overview

We are looking for a Virtual Kitchen Designer to support our team by creating accurate kitchen cabinet layouts and basic designs based on measurements, photos, and simple instructions.

This is a production-focused role. You will not be selling to customers — your job is to turn information into clean, usable kitchen designs that can be quoted and reviewed by our team.

This position is ideal for someone with kitchen design, cabinetry, or interior drafting experience who wants consistent remote work.

Core Responsibilities
• Create kitchen cabinet layouts based on:
• Measurements
• Photos
• Simple sketches or notes
• Design common layouts:
• L-shape
• U-shape
• Galley
• Island kitchens
• Ensure designs follow standard cabinet depths and clearances
• Apply basic kitchen design logic (sink, range, fridge placement)
• Revise layouts based on feedback
• Label dimensions clearly for quoting and fabrication
• Organize and submit files correctly

Tools You May Use
• 2020 Design (preferred)
• SketchUp
• AutoCAD
• Cabinet Vision
• Other kitchen design software (experience required with at least one)

Required Skills (Non-Negotiable)
• Proven kitchen design or cabinet layout experience
• Ability to read measurements and floor plans accurately
• Strong attention to detail
• Understanding of standard cabinet sizes and spacing
• Ability to follow instructions exactly
• Reliable internet and availability during agreed hours
• Clear written communication

• Experience designing for U.S. kitchens
• Knowledge of cabinet catalogs and SKUs
• Experience working with countertop layouts
• Prior work with cabinet dealers, fabricators, or showrooms
