About the Role:
We need an experienced DIGITAL MARKETING agency Account Manager who has worked with multiple marketing clients and understands how digital campaigns work. This is NOT a media buying role - we have specialists who handle execution. But you MUST understand marketing well enough to communicate strategy and results effectively.
This is NOT a role for someone who:
Just reads dashboard numbers to clients without context
Needs the media buyer to explain everything before they can talk to clients
Doesn't understand the difference between ROAS, CTR, CPA, and CPM
Has never worked in the marketing industry before
You'll be managing multiple client accounts simultaneously in a fast-paced agency environment, conducting regular calls, providing updates, and ensuring clients understand not just WHAT is happening, but WHY it's happening.
This is an AGENCY role for someone with MARKETING AGENCY experience. You must be comfortable with:
Managing 5-8 marketing client accounts simultaneously
Juggling competing priorities and multiple deadlines
Context-switching between different clients with different campaign strategies
Handling the chaos that comes with agency life
Being caught between client demands and internal team capacity
Understanding digital marketing well enough to have intelligent conversations with clients

Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like:
Client Communication (80% of your role):
Lead weekly or bi-weekly client calls (5-8 active clients) to provide campaign updates and discuss results
EXPLAIN (not just report) campaign performance - why ROAS went up or down, what creative is working, why certain audiences perform better
Translate complex marketing strategy into simple language clients can understand
Answer strategic questions about campaigns without always needing to check with the media buyer first
Manage client expectations about what's realistic in digital marketing
Build strong relationships and act as a trusted advisor who understands their business AND marketing
Handle sensitive conversations (account restrictions, compliance issues, budget discussions) with professionalism
Triage client emergencies and prioritize across multiple accounts
Provide context and insights, not just data dumps
Reporting & Coordination:
Send regular
Provide daily/weekly updates via Slack or
Coordinate between clients and our internal media buying team
Prepare presentation decks for client calls that tell a story, not just show numbers
Document client feedback and communicate it to the team with proper context
Flag urgent issues or opportunities to internal team
Keep clients calm and informed during ad account disruptions (common in our industry)
Manage internal team coordination when handling multiple client requests
Marketing Knowledge Application:
Review Meta Ads performance data (ROAS, CPA, CTR, CPM, etc.) and understand WHY the numbers are what they are
Identify when campaigns are performing well or poorly and know potential reasons why
Ask the right questions to our media buyers so you can explain strategy to clients intelligently
Understand landing page optimization, funnel structure, and conversion tracking
Grasp the basics of
Understand the unique challenges of advertising restricted products
Connect the dots between creative performance, audience targeting, and business results
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - ABSOLUTELY NON-NEGOTIABLE
YOU MUST HAVE ALL OF THESE:
AGENCY EXPERIENCE:
? ANY experience working AT A DIGITAL MARKETING AGENCY (must be an agency that provides marketing services to clients - not in-house, not freelance, not a single client)
? The agency MUST have specialized in paid advertising, Meta Ads, Google Ads, or digital marketing campaigns
? Experience managing multiple active MARKETING client accounts at that agency
? You must describe your agency experience in your application or you will be rejected
MARKETING KNOWLEDGE:

2+ years of digital marketing agency experience

Experience with client retention and account growth at a marketing agency
