Virtual Assistant (VA) + Graphic Designer (Print on Demand / Etsy)

About the Role
I am looking for a Virtual Assistant with Graphic Design experience who has worked with Print on Demand (POD) products and Etsy shops.
I currently manage 2 Etsy shops:
1 established shop that is in the top 3% of all Etsy shops
1 newer shop launched December 2025
This role focuses on design creation and Etsy listing visuals for products such as wall art, candles, apparel, blankets, mugs, and similar POD items.
This position is best for someone who:
Understands Etsy design aesthetics
Can follow reference designs while applying good design judgment
Is organized, detail-oriented, and communicates clearly

Main Responsibilities
1. Design Creation
You will be assigned a Google Sheet containing:
Reference links to similar designs
Clear instructions for what needs to be created
Most designs are:
Simple patterns
Frames
Color palette variations
Font changes or combinations
Some designs include quotes or design styles that must be applied across multiple products
You must:
Follow specific dimension requirements
Ensure correct centering and alignment
Create multiple variations when requested (patterns, colors, fonts)

2. Support Product Images (Listing Slides)
Some listings offer design choices such as:
Pattern options
Font styles
Color palettes
You will create clear listing image slides that explain these choices to buyers
These images must be:
Easy to understand
Clean and professional
Optimized for Etsy shoppers

Reference 1 – Font/Text-Based Apparel Design

Create a monochrome color palette for each shirt color
Ensure good text contrast and readability
Name all design files using a SKU-based naming format
Usually a one-off task
Occasionally, you may need to create a main mockup image for grouped shirts
(I use bulk mockup software for most single-design main images)

Reference 2 – Multi-Design Product with Design Choices

Task Example:
This is a multi-design listing
I will provide access to my Creative Fabrica account
Use it ONLY to download design elements
No need to design elements from scratch
Create product image slides that show:
Design element options (20–30 options is enough)
Create a personalization instruction slide clearly pointing out:
Top text (personalizable)
Design element choice
Bottom text and placement

Reference 3 – Pattern & Color Choice Product

Create a “Choose Your Pattern” image slide
Create a “Choose Your Mug Color” image slide
Slides must clearly separate:
Pattern choices
Product color choices

Source File Requirement (IMPORTANT)
For all designs and listing images, you must provide:
An editable source file
PSD or Canva
Choose whichever is best for future personalization edits
Files must be:
Well-organized
Clearly labeled
Easy to edit by another tea ---------- mber

Required Skills
Communication
Send a daily Slack update that includes:
What you completed today
What you plan to work on next
If there is a problem or blocker, you must notify me at least 24 hours in advance

Design & Tools
You must be comfortable using:
Photoshop (for detailed or intricate edits)
Canva (patterns, layouts, fonts, variations)
Creative Fabrica (elements only, used with original designs)
Strong eye for design
Ability to choose appropriate fonts, patterns, and color palettes
Willingness to give design recommendations when needed

Work Schedule
Monday – Friday (PDT time)
Philippines time: Sunday – Thursday
Exact working hours are flexible
Work is deadline-based, not hourly

Pay
$300 – $500 per month, depending on experience and skill level
