About the Role

We are an independent record label managing a large and growing music catalog across Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, TikTok, and other platforms.

We are looking for a Copyright & Takedown Specialist to help us identify and remove unauthorized or infringing content from DSPs and social platforms.

This role is hands-on and practical, not legal theory.
You will work with clear workflows, real cases, and ongoing tasks.

Responsibilities

Identify and report:

Unauthorized uploads

Song theft and reuploads

ISRC misuse

Fake artists or impersonation accounts

Submit and track copyright / takedown requests on:

Spotify

YouTube

Apple Music

TikTok

Instagram

Other DSPs when needed

Communicate (by email/forms) with:

Distributors

DSP support teams

Content ID systems

Collect and organize evidence:

Proof of ownership

Release history

Metadata and ISRC documentation

Track cases until resolution and update internal records

Requirements

Previous experience with copyright or takedown requests
(Spotify, YouTube, or DSPs)

Understanding of:

Unauthorized uploads

Basic ISRC usage

Difference between original releases and reuploads

Strong attention to detail

Good written English

Ability to work independently and follow instructions

Nice to Have (Not Mandatory)

Experience with Content ID systems

Experience communicating with DSP legal/support teams

Experience working with music labels or distributors

Compensation & Growth

Starting compensation: $50 during trial phase
