Overview
We’re looking for a GoHighLevel (GHL) Automations Expert to build, optimize, and maintain high-performing automation systems that support lead capture, follow-up, nurturing, and internal workflows.
This role is execution-heavy. You’ll be responsible for turning business requirements into clean, reliable automations that work without babysitting.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain GoHighLevel workflows and automations
Design and optimize lead intake, routing, and follow-up sequences (SMS,
Implement and manage pipelines, triggers, tags, and custom fields
Set up and optimize funnels, forms, calendars, and booking flows
Integrate GHL with third-party tools (Zapier, webhooks, Stripe, Google, etc.)
Troubleshoot automation issues and improve reliability and deliverability
Document workflows and automation logic clearly
Collaborate with marketing and operations to support growth goals
Required Qualifications
Proven hands-on experience with GoHighLevel automations
Strong understanding of:
Triggers, workflows, tags, and pipelines
SMS/email sequencing and compliance best practices
Experience building end-to-end lead lifecycle automations
Ability to debug broken workflows quickly and accurately
Detail-oriented with a systems mindset
Preferred Skills
Experience with service-based businesses (local services, real estate, hospitality, agencies)
Knowledge of deliverability best practices (A2P 10DLC, warm-up, throttling)
Experience with Zapier, webhooks, APIs
Funnel and conversion optimization experience
Familiarity with reporting and attribution inside GHL

Automations run cleanly with minimal manual intervention
Leads are routed correctly and followed up instantly
Clear documentation exists for all workflows
Issues are identified and fixed before they become problems
