JOB OVERVIEW

Job description:

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly disciplined Pre-press Technician. This function role serves as the technical and administrative bridge between our on-site regional CSRs and the production departments, with a specific focus on flexographic and digital printing processes.

As the technical anchor, you will be responsible for high-level file preparation for both press types while simultaneously managing the workflow within Label Traxx Enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Pre-press (Labels & Film)

File Optimization: Utilize Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to perform advanced pre-flighting, trapping, and distortion specifically for flexographic and digital label and film applications.
Color Management & Proofing: Execute rigorous color correction protocols to ensure brand consistency across different print technologies. Generate and verify high-fidelity digital and physical proofs for client approval.
Production Liaison: Ensure error-free technical hand-offs to the production team, providing necessary support for complex flexo plate mounting or digital press color profiles.
Task Tracking: Keep a "critical track" of all active tasks and deadlines, ensuring a 100% commitment to timely delivery to clients.

Requirements

Industry Experience: Prior experience in the label and film printing business as a Pre-press Technician is a significant plus.
Technical Software: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is required.
ERP/MIS Mastery: Mandatory user experience with Label Traxx Enterprise.

Core Competencies:
Essential experience in Pre-Press Technician and graphic designing.
Expertise in Color Management and proofing standards for flexo and digital output.
Refined administrative skills with a focus on data accuracy and task organization.

Performance Expectations
Success in this role is measured by the timely delivery of error-free projects and the administrative precision of the workflow. You are expected to be the "technical heartbeat" of the company, ensuring no detail is missed.

Job Type: Full-time

Work Hours: 08:30 AM to 5 PM Canadian Eastern Standard Time Monday to Friday. We observe Canadian Statutory Holidays only.
