JOB OVERVIEW

WHO WE ARE
We're a performance-driven skincare brand scaling aggressively on Meta. We're not looking for pretty videos, we're looking for videos that convert cold traffic into customers.

Our creative strategy is rooted in deep audience psychology, direct-response principles, and relentless testing. We treat creative as our primary growth lever, not an afterthought.

THE ROLE
We need a video editor who understands that every frame, cut, and text overlay has one job: keep them watching and get them to click.

You'll be editing:
• UGC-style testimonial ads (scripted, authentic feel)
• AI-generated video content (faceless formats, b-roll heavy)
• Hook variation testing (multiple openings, same body)
• Static-to-video hybrids and motion graphics
• Long-form VSLs and short-form scroll-stoppers

This is not brand content. This is direct-response advertising where we measure success in CPAs, hook rates, and hold rates—not likes.

WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON
• Editing 10-20+ ad variations per week across multiple concepts
• Cutting UGC footage into tight, scroll-stopping sequences
• Working with AI-generated visuals (Veo3, Sora2, HeyGen, etc.)
• Adding captions, text overlays, and motion elements for retention
• Creating hook variations for A/B testing
• Iterating quickly based on performance data

YOU'RE A FIT IF:
? You've edited for DTC brands doing $1M+/month in paid social spend
? You have a portfolio of ads with proven performance metrics (not just "pretty" work)
? You understand direct-response principles: hooks, open loops, pattern interrupts, pacing for retention
? You've worked with AI video tools (Veo3, Sora2, HeyGen, etc. or similar)
? You can turn a 2-minute UGC clip into a 45-second high-converting ad
? You know why the first 3 seconds matter more than everything else combined
? You've edited for Meta, TikTok, and/or YouTube Shorts
? You can work fast without sacrificing quality. This is a volume game
? You're obsessed with performance metrics, not just aesthetics

BONUS POINTS:
? Experience in skincare, beauty, or health/wellness DTC
? Familiar with brands like, Seranova, Alpha Infuse, Spartan, or similar
? Can handle light AI voiceover work or know tools like ElevenLabs
? You've edited winning ads that scaled past $100k+ spend

YOU'RE NOT A FIT IF:
? Your portfolio is mostly brand content, music videos, or YouTube vlogs
? You've never worked on performance-measured campaigns
? You think "good editing" means cinematic transitions and color grading
? You can't deliver multiple variations quickly
? You need detailed frame-by-frame instructions for every edit

TOOLS WE USE (familiarity preferred):

Premiere Pro or Capcut (required)
---------- or similar for review/feedback
AI tools: Veo3, Sora2, HeyGen, ElevenLabs
Google Docs for briefs and scripts

HOW WE WORK

You'll receive detailed creative briefs with scripts, visual direction, and reference ads (when possible)
Turnaround expectations: 24-48 hours for standard edits, same-day for hook variations
Feedback is direct, specific, and performance-driven
We iterate fast: winning hooks get expanded, losing concepts get cut
Communication via Slack

COMPENSATION

- Competitive project-based or hourly rate (based on experience)
- Potential for ongoing retainer as we scale creative volume
- Performance bonuses tied to winning ads (ads that scale get rewarded)

TO APPLY, PLEASE INCLUDE:

• Portfolio link with specific examples of direct-response/performance ads you've edited (not brand content)
• Brief case study (2-3 sentences) on an ad you edited that performed well—what was the result? (CPM, CPA, spend scaled, etc.)
• AI video experience: List the AI tools you've used & include an example
• Your editing setup: Software, hardware, turnaround capacity
• Answer this question: "What's the #1 mistake you see in underperforming video ads?"

Important: Applications without a portfolio or that don't answer the screening question will not be reviewed.
We're looking for someone who geeks out on conversion rates as much as clean cuts. If that's you—we want to talk.
