Fire Sprinkler Drafter

We are seeking a detail-oriented Fire Sprinkler Drafter to prepare accurate shop drawings and as-built drawings for fire sprinkler systems. The ideal candidate will have experience working with fire protection plans and be familiar with applicable codes and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

Prepare fire sprinkler shop drawings based on contract documents, and company criteria

Produce accurate as-built drawings based on field markups and site changes.

Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, and mechanical plans

Revise drawings based on redlines, RFIs, and field input or engineering requests.

Ensure drawings comply with NFPA standards, and local NYC codes.

Maintain organized drawing files and folders

Assist with plan submissions and revisions as needed

Requirements:

2+ years of experience in fire sprinkler drafting or design

Proficiency in AutoCAD (Fire sprinkler-specific experience preferred)

Knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 14, and local fire codes NYC code knowledge

Ability to read and interpret construction and architectural drawings

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with hydraulic calculations

Familiarity with shop drawing submission processes

Prior experience preparing as-built drawings from field markups
