AI Voice Engineer – Real-Time Sales Simulation (LLM + Voice)

About the Role

We are building a real-time AI “buyer simulator” that allows sales reps to practice live sales calls with an AI that behaves like a real customer.

This is not a chatbot.
This is not a text-based tool.

The AI speaks, interrupts, objects, hesitates, and pushes back like a real buyer. Sales reps call it, pitch it live, and receive scoring and coaching after the call.

We are looking for someone who can actually build this, not just talk about AI.

What You’ll Be Building

* A live voice-based AI customer
* Real-time speech-to-text and text-to-speech
* Dynamic buyer personalities (skeptical, price-driven, busy, etc.)
* Natural conversation flow with interruptions and pauses
* Call recording, transcription, and post-call analysis
* Latency-sensitive voice interactions (this must feel real)

Required Skills (Must Have)

Only apply if you have hands-on experience with most of the following:

* Large Language Models (OpenAI or similar)
* Prompt engineering for role-locked AI behavior
* Backend development (Node.js or Python)
* API orchestration and state management
* Handling real-time conversational context
* Audio streaming or voice call flows

If you have never built a real-time voice AI experience before, this is not the role.

Strongly Preferred (Nice to Have)

* Experience building voice bots or call simulations
* Familiarity with sales conversations or training systems
* Understanding of conversation pacing and interruptions
* Experience reducing latency in real-time systems
* UI experience for call start/stop flows
* Experience building SaaS-style products

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 14 days, you should be able to:

* Build a live AI customer that can hold a 3–5 minute sales call
* Respond naturally to objections
* Interrupt and redirect the rep
* Maintain a believable buyer persona
* Deliver a usable transcript and call summary

This is a real product, not a demo.
