If you're ready to elevate your career in accounting, we have an exciting opportunity that awaits you!

What We Do
Atomus -- the Latin word for atoms, which are the basic building blocks of the universe. At Atomus Partners, we operate as a back-office nucleus, allowing the organization to focus on what it does best - its core business. We remove the common challenges small and medium-sized businesses often struggle with in developing, growing, and maintaining a highly functional back office (HR, Administrative, Finance/Accounting, IT), and help them to see beyond today.

What You’ll Do
Reporting to our Accounting Manager, our Bookkeeper will be at the helm of our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency of the financial operations. Your days will be filled with:

Client and Team Support:
Collaborate with the internal accounting manager to deliver accurate financial information and dependable service.
Maintain organized files, ensure deliverables are complete and on time, and support the Accounting Manager in executing key initiatives throughout the year. Work alongside cross-functional partners and external vendors to ensure smooth payroll processing, accurate reporting, and successful year-end preparation. While primarily internal-facing, you may occasionally join client calls or assist with client communications as needed.

Financial Mastery:
Manage day-to-day activity in QuickBooks Online including transaction coding, accounts payable and receivable workflows, and maintaining clean, organized ledgers. Perform bank and credit card reconciliations, review activity for accuracy, and ensure accounts are supported and properly documented. Support the preparation of adjusting journal entries such as accruals, prepaids, deferrals, and depreciation.

Balance Sheet Ownership:
Assist in reviewing balance sheet accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy. Identify variances or unusual patterns, research discrepancies, and collaborate with the Accounting Manager to resolve issues in a timely manner. Maintain schedules and support month-end close processes.

Process Enhancement:
Identify opportunities to streamline existing workflows, improve documentation, and reduce manual steps.
Bring forward ideas and participate in projects to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability in the accounting function.
